Compliance
The 24 co-founders of EIN aare committed to compliance in relation to the 501c3 public charity status granted by the IRS in its letter of 1 February 2008 with effective date from 12 January 2007. A copy of that important document is below.
We invite anyone who ever detects any possible transgression, or even the possibility of a transgression, to immediately challenge us via email to the Executive Director (
EIN will not allow private benefit to accrue or inure to the benefit of any individual
OSS donated roughly $130K as a charitable contribution and loaned EIN roughly $15K, in 2007.
The co-founders will not receive compensation for their service on the Board, but will be reimbursed for travel and other expenses associated with EIN endeavors. On a project basis, e.g. establishing the Public Budget Office, individual board members will receive compensation fully and p[ublicly disclosed, in accordance with prevailing time and materials standards.
EIN will not intervene in political campaigns.
EIN not participate directly or indirectly in any political campaign, nor will it lobby for passage of legislation (e.g. the Electoral Reform Act). EIN's role is that of a holistic educator, helping citizen's restore the Founder's concept of "one man, one vote," while providing citizens with an open online alternaative to the national budget (and eventually all budgets) so that they can detect, prevent, and oversee the public treasury as individual citizens.
Individuals associated with EIN retain their individual freedom on political matters, when speaking on their own behalf and never within EIN events or documents.
EIN will support other organizations with viable and legal access to legislators, but will not itself seek to propose, support, or oppose legislation.
